CAMP GLAM

Welcome to Camp GLAM, where Grace, Glamour, and Dignity come to life! We look forward to an exciting summer where your daughters will grow, thrive, and gain memories that last a lifetime.

Not all girls enjoy hiking, archery, basketball and all other traditional day camp activities. Some girls just wanna have fun…And their idea of fun does not include sports, nature, or getting dirty. Camp GLAM provides a GLAMorous alternative haven where young girly girls can avoid all that sweating and running around, and revel in manicures and fashion shows instead. We provide unique opportunities for them to celebrate being a girl!

Camp GLAM offers a full day camp program for girls ages 5-14, who aren’t interested in playing sports and getting dirty.

Camp GLAM strives to make a productive difference in the lives of young girls, by creating a safe environment that allows girls to explore individual differences, build leadership skills, discover new talents, make new friends, and experience an adventure of a lifetime!

• To meet new friends by working together through physical and social activities

Camp GLAM Activities

Girly Clinics We offer various fun and exciting girly clinics throughout the summer, designed to teach young girls to develop their creative abilities, build independence and self-reliance, learn new skills and gain confidence. Each girly clinic will last one week. Glamour instructors conduct the clinics and are assisted by the camp counselors. The Glamour instructors have the expertise to adaptively design the clinics to meet the needs of individual skill levels and abilities within the camper groups. Campers do not need prior experience or knowledge of the particular topic area in order to participate. In addition to the Girly Clinics, the remainder of the camp day is comprised of many fun and unique activities. Some of these activities include the following:

• Arts + Crafts: Campers will have the opportunity to create fun and unique projects. During arts & crafts time, campers will get a chance to think creatively and gain experience using materials like paper mache, paint, and clay.


• Music + Drama: Campers will be involved in sing-along's, charades, video production, and karaoke to explore their theatrical interests and talents. They will learn to appreciate music and incorporate songs with simple dance routines that may be put on in front of parents and fellow campers.


• Gardening: We have a beautiful nature trail for our campers to enjoy. The path of lush greenery consists of a variety of flowers, plants and trees for the campers to discover and explore. The Camp GLAM girls will have a special designated area where they will have their own garden that they will care for and maintain. The trail will also be used for special activities such as scavenger hunts and Theme Day activities.


• Rock Climbing: Campers will have the opportunity to gain the skills and confidence necessary to climb the rockwall. Standing 25 feet tall, the rock wall challenges climbers to scale the rock face and push the button at the top. Safety is of the utmost importance, so professional mountain climbing equipment is used at all times. Trained Ride Operators will instruct and supervise the campers during this activity.
  
• Swimming: Under supervision of Certified Lifeguards and Certified Water Safety Instructors, campers are encouraged to participate and progress without pressure. Every camper will have an opportunity to swim in the pool each day. All campers must pass a swim test in order to enter the pool without a flotation device.


• Tumble Times: Under the supervision of qualified tumbling instructors, campers have access to the popular Tumble Times Gym, where they can play on the bars, balance beam, trampoline, foam pit, spring floor, and MORE! According to our campers, this is one of their favorite activities.


• Bounce Attractions: Camp SAM features 6 amazing inflatable attractions to add to the excitement of camp, including the Tropical 2-Lane Water Slide, Tropical Slip ‘N’ Slide, Defender Dome, Jumping Pillow, Amazon Extreme Obstacle Course, and the Castle Combo!


• Cooking: Under supervision of safety-certified staff, campers will enjoy the art of cooking in our fully equipped kitchen. They will learn the basic fundamentals of cooking, as well as the safety procedures involved. Campers will cook International foods, create baking & pastry arts and participate in a cake decorating contest too!


• Scrapbooking: The campers will design personal journals with scrapbooking materials, incorporating pictures, writing, decorations, etc.. These scrapbooks will give the girls an opportunity to creatively express themselves. Some of these scrapbooks may be displayed at the Family Luau.


• Dancing: Under the direction of a certified dance and performing arts teacher, campers will learn various types of dance techniques in our dance studio. They will have various opportunities to perform their routines throughout the summer, such as at the Camp Glee Theme Day and the Family Luau.


• Field Trips: Camp GLAM features three field trips each summer. The field trips are conducted during the normal camp hours, on Fridays, and transportation is provided. Campers must bring their lunch on field trip days, unless otherwise noted. A $15 Field Trip Fee will be added to the weeks on which Field Trips are offered to cover admission and bussing. Chaperones are welcome, however advance notice is required in order to ensure accurate admission purchases. Chaperones may follow the busses to their destinations.


• Theme Days: Every Thursday at Sports & More is an exciting Theme Day where all of the campers and counselors dress up, decorate the building, and participate in special theme-related activities. Some of our most popular Theme Days are Survivor, Maui Waui, Wild West, Carnival Games, and more!

Is your child looking to become more flexible and fit, while having lots of fun? Tumble Times is a gymnastics program for children to learn balance, coordination, confidence and increase flexibility through exercises on balance beams, gymnastics bars, trampoline/tumble track and more.
